Puma Black Station
An iconic sports fashion label, which has taken an unexpected and unique twist at the hands of two top designers Alexander McQueen and Hussein Chalayan, PUMA's new creative director. The fusion of tradition on modern technology produces a product that is beautifully crafted, intricately designed and sophisticated. Power is the inspiration for the collection, and McQueen's collections are known for both the power and energy of his shows and the use of juxtaposition in contrasting elements, influencing the combination of traditional style and modern design.
Hussein Chalayan is British/Cypriot designer, who has previously worked with New York knitwear label TSE, Gibo from Italy, the British jewellers Aprey, the German label Falke as well as founding his own signature clothing line- adding a menswear line in 2002. He has been twice (1999 & 2000) named British Designer of the Year. As PUMA's first creative director, and the first famous fashion designer to be appointed by a sports label, Hussein Chalayan is the driving force behind the creative direction of the company, and is responsible for designing, creating and developing the PUMA fashion collections, resulting in the PUMA Urban Mobility collection and now the impressive PUMA Black Station collection, now available at Stuarts London. Take a look at an example of the luxurious footwear in the Black Station range:
