Stuarts London at the screening of The Firm 84 - By Nick Love

Ravi Grewal From Stuarts London and the Cast of The Firm at the Fila after party

Fila held a private screening of the cult re-make "The Firm", and Stuarts London was there to check out what all the fuss was about.
Calum Macnab plays "Dom" - here he is wearing the new Fila Gold Cardigan Caligaris
Click the photo above to check this Cardigan out now:-

The Film is defiantly one to watch. The revival of brands like Fila and Sergio Tacchini couldn't have asked for a better film to be launched this September 18th, Nationwide in all Warner Bros cinemas. The story line is taken from a different angle unlike the original which focuses on Bex the top boy of the The Firm. The re-make by Nick Love takes the film to a new level and focuses it from the eyes of a common young man "Dom" who wants to be part of The Firm. Bex takes Dom under his wing and Dom loves the feeling belonging to a something bigger than he ever imagined. The fashion plays a huge part in the film, with all the retro brands from the 80s included. Fila being one of the most prominent brand worn throughout the film for day wear and the likes of Lois cords and Gabicci Knitwear for the night club scenes.
French Blue Terrinda worn by Paul Anderson who plays "Bex" in the film.
This Terrinda jacket will be in store Feb 2010

The story begins to take a twist when Dom finds that by joining The Firm its not all about the clothing and looking good at football games. Dom is way under his depth and wants out, but top boy Bex has other ideas.

Watch the film, it's a must, if youre into the "Casual" scene which started in the 80s,

Get ready for some of the most funny tongue and cheek one liners.

The Firm is funny yet violent roller coaster trip down memory lane ...

...watch it to find out if Dom does the right thing??

We rate the fashion 10/10 on this film.

80s Casual Revival

Well, well ......did anybody catch the news today, we must be way ahead of what's happening. The National news broadcaster reported that there was a massive 80s revival taking place in Britain, not only is the fashion reverting back to 80s inspired designed but labels that were once famous for there new innovative looks back in the 80s have come back stronger than ever. Stuarts London has been predicting this for the last three years when we made a dramatic change to our brands and looked back into our heritage and archives for inspiration. Brands like Fila, now known as Fila Vintage, or Fila white line, have made a major comeback along the Famous Sergio Tacchini and Fred Perry collections. Just look around, its all gone retro mad from fashion to furniture and music.

If the fashion isn't already creating enough of a stir large scale 80s music festivals are taking place with bands from the 80s making a comeback will do just the trick...........films like the "The Firm" are being re-made and set in the 80s with more casual Italian inspired clothing than anyone can imagine. Once again brands like Fila, Gabicci, Ellesse, Farah Slacks, Sergio Tacchini are the center of attention.

When you feel like hitting the streets supporting the retro revolution, www.stuartslondon.com is the place with enough heritage to start its own retro label,

Pretty Green by Liam Gallagher

Pretty Green is an up-front, straight talking, classic clothing range owned, founded and designed by Liam Gallagher. The Pretty Green team is made up of key industry professionals.
The clothing range, which is entirely 'limited edition', will include classic designs across footwear, denim, knitwear, jackets, trench coats, parkas, t-shirts, hats, scarves and accessories; all subject to Liam's final approval.
"Clothes and music are my passion. I'm not here to rip anyone off and I'm not doing it for the money either. I'm doing it cuz there's a lack of stuff out there of the things I would wear"Liam Gallagher 2009

It was a question posed to Liam Gallagher by a close Friend, that if he wasn't doing music then what would he love to have done?

Liam responded that he would love to have his own clothing range, and he even had a name ready for it. The logo is Liam's own creation which he rough sketched himself from the word go.

After viewing the collection and bumping into the man himself, I instantly knew how passionate Liam was about Pretty Green , checking every detail, making sure the fit and look was exactly as he wanted it to be.

This a new label that has already got heritage, it's got Liam Gallagher's heritage and music ethics stitched into every seam.

The parka which is made one size to fit all is probably the best Mod parka stuartslondon buying team has ever seen, the scarves made from pure silk which mind you are not cheap at £90, but the quality and look seems to justify it.

The collection all in all reflects the hard work and passion put in to every item, This September stuartslondon will start off the basic t-shirts and 100% water proof light weight jackets, with hats and scarves to compliment. Later in October we will offer the black line collection.

Stock for Pretty Green will be available at Stuarts London this September 2009

Red Wing New arrivals - Heritage Archive Collection

Red Wing Footwear
Red Wing footwear is truly a benchmark for most if not all bootmakers around the world. The Heritage behind Red Wing boots is magnificent, dating back to 1905 when Charles H Beckman launched the company in Minnesota, USA. The company was named after its home town "Red Wing".
Red Wing is a household brand in America and well known around the world for the durability and high quality of each redwing boot. From just a small production of 100 units a day back in 1906, Red Wing produces well over 2 Million pairs of shoes, boots today, and over 150 different styles to cater for nearly every working industry.
Red Wing boots were sought by the US Government to provide footwear for the US Army during WW1. Later during the Oil Boom Red Wing launched in more untapped territories like, Mexico, Canada, South America and a number of oil producing countries in the East.
At Stuarts London we have revisited Red Wings Archive styles. The Beckman boot named after the founder of Red Wing. High Grade uses of leather, only the best, Goodyear welted soles, and handcrafted designs, although they are expensive, we believe they are worth every penny, and a great investment for a long lasting boot, timeless in style and literally lasts way beyond any expectations. If there was a shoe or boot ever to be passed down the family tree, Red Wings would be that boot.
Buy any Red Wing shoe or boot at Stuarts London and enjoy a free next day special delivery. Red Wing Official Stockist.
Keywords: RedWing, Red Wing Boots, Red Wing Heritage, Red Wing Shoes, Red Wing Footwear.
